Unveiling the Future - Crafted for Calm. Built for Adventure.

A narrowboat by Mahulu, covered until its release in 2026
Veiled - The first of Mahulu narrowboats coming 2026.

Mahulu, a brand synonymous with innovation and quality, has announced the launch of its exclusive range of UK-built narrowboats, marking an exciting new chapter for Britain’s inland waterways.

Set to debut in 2026, Mahulu’s new collection will showcase modern craftsmanship, cutting-edge technology, and accessible pricing — a combination that’s sure to capture the attention of boating enthusiasts and first-time buyers alike.

Paul James, CEO of Mahulu, expressed his enthusiasm about the company’s expansion into the narrowboat market:

“We have chosen a hand-picked team of craftsmen who will work exclusively on building our range of boats. Our aim is to build quality boats full of new technology at affordable prices. We have been approached by a number of marina operators, who wish to work with Mahulu in the promotion of our boats.

This statement underlines Mahulu’s commitment to combining traditional boatbuilding expertise with modern innovation, offering an exciting new range to the UK narrowboat industry.

Mahulu announces exclusive viewing experience for limited-edition narrowboats

Following extensive coverage in several leading boating magazines, interest in the Mahulu project has exceeded all expectations. Despite releasing only limited information about our collection of 21 luxury, limited edition narrowboats, public excitement has been remarkable.

Many prospective customers have expressed a desire for a more personal and unhurried viewing experience than those typically offered at boat shows. In response to this valuable feedback and in recognition of the high level of interest, Mahulu are pleased to announce a new approach for viewing the upcoming showboats.

To ensure every potential customer receives the premium, personalised experience that reflects the Mahulu brand, Mahulu are partnering with Devizes Marina, an esteemed, family run marina located on one of the most beautiful and popular stretches of the Kennet & Avon Canal, to showcase the showboat. This is instead of exhibiting at the Crick Boat Show this year as previously planned.

"After several positive meetings with Tom Taylor, the owner of Devizes Marina, we are confident that he and his dedicated team share our commitment to exceptional customer service. Their ethos aligns seamlessly with the Mahulu experience we provide across all areas of our brand. In addition to the display at Devizes, one of our showboats will be showcased indoors at The Aintree Boat Company, the proud builders of our vessel range." - Paul James, CEO

To enhance the experience further, Mahulu has secured special accommodation rates at selected hotels near Devizes Marina and Aintree Boats. Bookings made through Mahulu will be fully reimbursed for customers who proceed with the purchase of one of our boats.

Both showboats are expected to be available for private viewing from June, with an official launch weekend planned at Devizes Marina once dates are confirmed.

Updates will be published on our website and in the waterways press.

The Future of Mahulu's Range

Following this, Mahulu will introduce a 65-foot wide-beam, designed to provide maximum living space, the very best in comfort and technology.

Also in production early next year will be an all-electric narrowboat, offering the same comfort and technology as the other models but indroducing new technology not yet seen on other electric boats, representing a major step forward in sustainable boating technology.

This eco-friendly vessel, in keeping with Mahulu's passion for eco concious watersports, will offer quiet cruising, zero emissions, and lower running costs — ideal for boaters seeking to reduce their environmental footprint without sacrificing comfort or style.

Mahulu's Goal

Our aim is simple yet ambitious: to produce high-quality narrowboats and wide-beam boats that incorporate the latest marine technology — all while keeping them affordable for a wide range of boating enthusiasts.
